Here We Go!

Today begins a new journey for me, one I’ve dreamed of trying, but could never really figure out a way to make it happen.

I love to write. Period.

Nothing else keeps me up into the wee hours of the morning, glancing at the top right of my screen and thinking Dear God is it really that time already? Truth be told I’m a fiction writer – stories are my cup of tea. Give me a few characters, a scenario and BAM! You’ll have a story – one that will make you laugh, cry and scream all at once.

But I’m not interested in breaking my back working a 9 to 5 job while writing on the side. If I want to write full time the only way to do it is to plunge right in. Freelance copywriting has appealed to me like no other job listing has. Going from one job post to the other, nothing satisfied my quench, my desire. That time old question of what do I want to do for the rest of my life?  I’ve immersed myself in the field, learning the tactics and the lingo, trying to understand what it is that makes a great copywriter. I just can’t stop feeling the excitement!

And do you know the secret as I’ve learned so far? Passion. Determination. The ability to put forth the effort and then reap the benefits.

I already know I’m a great writer, that’s easy. Now it’s time to put my talent to use, give those who need a writer a hand, and make some cash. Let the games begin!
